Identity

This will be a collection of audio notes on the topic of idenity. Some subtopics below:

Cryptography and Identity

PGP signatures has been used for a long time to prove someones identity online.

Since a couple of years back Chris has been working on Blockchain ID project, amongst other projects there is an old one called Cheap IP (centralised, pre-blockchain era) using PGP, U-Prove acquired by Microsoft in 2010 and involving 3rd party.

# Access to resources or infrastructure This will be part of our exploration during DarVoz, where in particular we look at cooperative structures and access to shared resources such as community hosting.

Identity and biomentrics

Biometrics is a very spooky topic: it involves ethics, anonymity, where the biometric data is stored, how it can be interpreted etc. However there are ways of using biometric data to verify that your identity is still yours without exposing your biometric data in any unsecure way.
